Defect Description STEERING GEARS HAVE NO END-OF-TRAVEL STOPS. EXTREME LEFT AND RIGHT TURNS PLACE ADDED LOADS ON THE AXLE STEERING ARM WHICH CAN CAUSE THE ARM TO LOOSEN AND SHEAR MOUNTING STUDS.
Effect of Defect LOOSENING OF THE STEERING ARM OR SHEARING OF THEMOUNTING STUDS RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, AND A POSSIBLE VEHICLEACCIDENT.
Fix Defect INSTALL STEERING ARM STOP AND NEW STUDS.
